How do I deal with a mother in law doesn't participate in anything having to do with our family or children. She has 5 grown children and when I married into the family to her youngest son ( my now husband) I was told by many of the in laws that she is the worst mother in law. She never went to hospital when the birth of her grandchildren came into the world, birthday parties, baptism, you name it. I now see it. This woman is just awful. She didn't come to my baby shower or any of my children's b-day parties. She had to nerve to send her husband over to drop a present off for my girl who turned two. He didn't even come in the house he just left the present in door and said he didn't have time to come in! It is really strange to me. My husband just says she is like that and expect nothing. I don't want to send invitations out and don't even want to spend xmas with her. Should I have to? My family makes a big deal when children come into the world, birthdays, you name it. AWFUL!

I've never had a boyfriend except for one that broke up w/me two days after we got 2gether. I was really happy that things were turning around 4 me but then came the news that got me all desperate and miserable again (as if I haven't had enough of that.) Not only that but he also lied to me saying that we couldn't be 2gether because we were 2 close of friends when he really still had feelings for his last crush. Because of this, I feel very cautious and uncertain about guys. I want to learn how to trust but I'm not exactly sure if I can of if I know how to. HELP!

I went to pick my son up from my ex's house. We met at hismothers home and his newgirlfriend was with him, this was the first time I met her in the 6 years that they have been togethere. My ex and I are 29 and the new girlfriend is close to his mothers age of 45. I was cordial and thanked her for helping take care of my son. As my ex brought my sons belonging to my car, he then proceeded to tell me how good I look, how he missed me and that no one could take my place. On the other hand, when we are on the phone he braggs abot how she takes care of him and he has to do nothing but give her "some", he also talks about how her kids (10,17,18} get on his nerves and he puts mine and his other kid on a pedestal when they come around to make her son jealous. Problem is her son takes it out on my son. Should I tell to get some sweet revenge, or just tell my kid to tough it out. How will the other lady recieve this info, he is just using her.

does anybody else hate it when someone says you're too young. or grow up......i mean ok in some situations its true and you should really back down....but other times when you just need an answer and it sounds mean and rude and not to mention hurtful,it just well hurts..i don't like and i wouldn't do it to someone.
