Yes I knew that. Poor people are people too and in a moral and ethical nation like America we must help those in need.

Yes I know that all child welfare workers are not social workers. Many of them have had little formal training or education. There are widely varying standards for Department of Child and Family Services depending on which state you are talking about.

I believe that counselors can be child welfare workers as well. You do not need to have a masters in social work per say. It doesn't bother me. I think that there are an overabundance of cases and the more people willing to get horrible pay for doing very taxing work, then good for them.

Is that like Child Protective Service? If so yes I know not all of them are social worker. However all of them are biggest hyprocrite ever!

They pretend to love child to death but yet they push child back to abusive parents. I use to have one come to my place because my stepdad would hit me whenever I don't do something he ask me to. They ask me if I have any bruise, I say no because I don't bruise easily. They tell me I should have listen to my parents and tell my parents that I should behave better then leave. I have many friends who got caught up with CPS worker and they alway end up in worse situtation. In one case I have a friend whose step father molested her and they did nothing for seven years until her grandma caught it in action then it take another year to finally get that assh0le out of the house.

CPS should be gathered up and torture to death for all of their sick hyprocrite so they can make moneys off suffering childrens!

It would seem that an entry level requirement for any social welfare work, would be a B.S. degree in a related field. Here in Calif. an exception is for Alcohol/Drug abuse counseling which can be done with a less than 2 year A.A. degree.

Anyone can work in child welfare, regardless of whether they have a BSW..But in order to call yourself a social worker, you must have at least a BSW.
