I met this guy online in last September 05 who told me he would conquer my heart . I was not sure about this whole online dating stuff. But i wanted to give it a try and now i feel like a fool. He was calling me almost everyday, sending poems. We got pretty good along together and i begun to fall for him. It took me time to drop my guard down and when i finally did, he is now acting like a jerk. He wanted me to marry him and to join him in the USA. After long hesitation i decided last April 06 to visit him for a week. Everything went well. It was not all good but not all bad. I found out during my stay that he was still married but separated. He served me the excuse that he did not share this major information with me because he did not want me to worry about any detail. He was thoughful and sweet all along my visit but when i return to Belgium he totally changed and is very distant. No more calling , letters.. And i am to proud to call to have a good talk. What should i do to move on?

My b/f and i are at it again. We like any relationship are having are ups and downs. He met this girl on myspace and I can tell he's strating to liek her. And he told me she really really likes him, thats what she told him. Well my bf and i are in a long distnace relatinoship and i recently went to go visit him and we've been apart again for about a month cuz i home now and the new girl that he like lives further away than i do but he wont coem to see me but next month is going to spend a week with her where she lives. I know thats not right. but i asked him if he loves me than why is he going to see her not me and he says he wont do anything cuz he loves me. I find it hard to believe anyways. but the real reason he says he is going is cuz there "friends" and they have more in common together than he and i do. My ? is basically does commonalitly really matter if you love someone no matter what? Please i could really use helpful advice at this time in my relationship. PLEASE!!

Hey, I am asian and I am interested in dating white girl. That's just my preference, not a fetish thing..:-) I read other answers and pps usually say SF, NYC, Seattle, big cities would have better chances. Just to let all u know, it's not. If a friend broke up with their b/f or g/f and their relationship is over and their both single then why cant i date them?....why is it so screwed up for me to go out with that person just because my friend used to?....if they broke up then doesnt that mean that the relationship is over? OK, I believe in true love, that is not my question. Am I the only one who realizes that relationships require require effort to keep them strong? I hear much talk about finding the "one true love". So what happens after you find it? Blissfull happiness for the rest of eternity?? It seems to me that SOME (alot in my experience) people are spoiled and selfish now a days. Disposable lifestyles, plasitic friends,... basically, if the going gets tough, GET THE F**K OUT!! I understand that everyone needs their own life and identity, but at what cost?

So, do you believe that the "give and take" balancing act (as far as relationships are concerned) has been shifted to the "take" side or has it always been like this and I am blind? I am 26 and baseing my opinion on my experiences while growing up.
