Nothing you can do. Just keep being yourself. You can make the decision of whether or not you want to keep that person for your friend if it really bothers you. Otherwise just ignore it.

I know I should be flattered but it gets very annoying especially when she tries to copy my personality? She copies my dressing, my hairstyle, and even the type of food that I like to eat, the words I use when talking, the way I teach my kids...everything. So I talked to her but she denied it eventhough she has the same shoes, handbags, clothes, perfume, that I have. As far as I am concerned, I have already told her that I don't like her trying to be like me but since she is otherwise a good friend, I'd let it go. I won't discuss it again. At least she knows how I feel about it. I also told her that I like her for what she was....her own self. So my advice to you is talk to her and don't go shopping with her!

Your friend must be finding their true self but instead she or he looks up to you. Its not a bad thing though just give it some time and he or she will realize its not right for them to be copying someone elses style!

Well as long as he/she can't get it right then just him/her just keep on trying. You are the one that still looks good right? So......Oh Well. You should learn to enjoy that people want to be like you. It should make you happy that others admire your style. If you wanted to be a good friend you could help them with their style or even help them discover their own.

Aww...man, I just posted a question on the exact same question. The title was " Green with Envy? U decide.
I'm going thru the exact same thing wit one of my girlz. I mean, I know she ain't shy cuz she has a good personality and talks to people of course after I introduce new friends to them. But man after a while it gets pretty annoying. I don't know what to do either. Let me know ur outcome once you get some good advise....

Well..... I would try to think of it like this....... Imitating someone is one of the highest forms of flattery. If that doesn't work, remember that this won't make a bit of difference a year down the road. "Don't sweat the small stuff."
What does it hurt? She might take a bit of your attention away? Maybe she needs it more. Are her intentions to hurt you in anyway? Maybe you should try and help her find her own successes?

It may be frustrating, but they are showing their admiration for you. Talk to your friend and tell him/her that you appreciate what they are doing, but that it's more important to be an individual and create their own style and interests...maybe offer to help them if they feel insecure about it.

Explain to your friend that you appreciate the way he/she tries to imitate you but you prefer that he/she picks his/her own style.

you should try to talk to this friend of yours .may be he/she really likes you and that's why wants to be like you. don't say anything mean this will just make things worse . may be she is psychologically ill so try to understand his/her feelings. tell him/her that he/she is better being his/herself.tell him/her good things about him/her
