Get a box of tissue prepared. Some Ben and Jerry's in the freezer for later is a good idea. Have your best friend prepared for the late night 2 hour phone call. Hate to say this, but as you have figured, that statement is not a good sign.

From my experience it usually means that there is something he's been wanting to tell you but has been avoiding it or has been trying to find the right way to tell you. Its usually not too good either. But depending on his tone you should be able to tell if its really bad or just something he's having a hard time telling you.

It doesn't have to mean that you're about to break up. Be optimistic! Don't make assumptions. It could mean anything. Quite literally, it means he wants to talk about something that's probably important or personal.

it means there is something the two of you need to talk about, often a sign of an impending breakup but thats not the only possibility. i guess you'll find out when you talk.

It depends on him... Maybe you said something bad to him and he wants to talk to you or maybe he wants to break up! I dont know girl I never been in this situation before but I hoped this helped!

Usually it means he wants to break up, BUT DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE THAT! He just might actually want to talk to you! If he needs to talk to you respect his wishes, if you wanted to talk with him, he'd respect yours too. Just talk, don't think negative about it, just go in with a smile. GOOD LUCK! Luv~Carly

when ever ive heard "we need to talk" it usually means hes going out of town for a while or something is wrong. but yes, he has proposed to me after saying that.. scared me half to death the way he said it tho. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
