Why do people think that love is determined by age or sex?

I get so upset when people who barely know me look at me and tell me that I dont love my boyfriend [of 3.5 years] just because I'm 16.
It is also very upsetting to see my friend get torn down because I see people telling him that because he is gay he will never find real love.

Why do people have to put imaginary limits on love? Its so unfair and wrong.

I belive that the people who put limits on who can love and who can't dont really understand what love is..

I am 35 he is 38... With all the news and stuff going on, I am a bit leary of meeting him.. I want to, but scared to? We have been talking on the computer for a couple of days now, and he seems really down to earth and I am really interested in meeting him.. I have seen his pics and everything just so scared to.. Well I have two problems, 1. My girlfriend cheated on me and got pregnant then the person she got pregnant by she does not want. She said she did it for us but we never talked about it. Now I don't think I want her back. 2. I met someone when my ex-girlfriend was cheating on me and we just decided to be in a relationship after three months. His mom is planning EVERYTHING, and I want the wedding to be how I want it. She picked the church, and I want it at our family church, but now he has his mind set on the one she picked and wont agree with me, the ONLY thing (besides making the wedding how SHE want it) shes helping with is food which she is making herself to save $, and she said shed help with whatever MY parents didnt get. Im trying to plan it how i want it to be and compromise whit things he doesnt like, but its so hard with his mom making decisions for us....what can i do to make him hear ME out? (ive tried to talk to him, but his mom still wins...) and his mo helps out alot when we need $ to make it by or whatnot but this is MY wedding...
