My wife shouts at me day and night - at any little thing. I am in a de-tox progrom for alcohol (successful so far). She was requested by her doctor to not shout at me during this 2 week period. Does not stop her - picks on any little thing and shouts about my family, my housework, anything.

By the way I make a very decent salary in the silicon valley and support my wife and my 2 kids. I am not perfect but do the best that I can.

I try to resolve issues by discussion but get shouted at in return. This is a pattern with us.

What are options other than divorce (she refuses to go to counseling)? We have 2 little children

This guy is so called in love with me. A bug a boo to the highest. My sister (very close to me) died a couple of weeks ago..He has also known her for many years..We all grew up together..I talked to him almost everyday during her illness. Should I be hurt that he only sent a card, a week after her funeral. He is very cheap and stingy. I know it is the thought that counts, but even the card was cheap and impersonal..Dollar Store...I would have attended the funeral as well as sent flowers to him and his family... Some things I just would not be cheap about. I am not going to mention it to him, but I don't want to be in a relationship with him cause his cheapness would drive me crazy. I am a generous caring person. Love people more than money. Am I too sensitive?

i get a call from my father 3 days ago telling me that my grandmother is in the hospital with pnenomonia(sp) and a urinary track infection that got bad. she is in a nursing home so naturally i was angry to find out that they had let it go for so long.yesterday my dad tells me that they think that the urinary infection may have gotten in her blood and the dr wld tlk to them about it. he calls me today and tells me that the bloodwork looked good and they were gng to give her meds. he calls an hour later and tells me that the dr wants to have a meeting with the family. i get a call tonight and learn that my grandma had a stroke at the nursing home and that hospice came in and they removed the feeding tube and IV and that they are gng to give her pain meds to keep her comfortable and they are giving her a few days to live...i am so mad..how did the nursing home let this go and how did she decline so fast and what happened? does anyone have any advice?

Hi, I am going through a divorce, my wife cheated on me. I am not going to date until the divorce is final, that is just my personality type. But I was wondering, given that most divorces seam to be asked for by the woman, do woman look at a divorced man as someone that wasn't good enough for another woman and therefore isn't good enough for them? I know woman are very competitive, I was always flirted with more as a married man than a single one. I don't plan on bring up my ex-wife and what she did unless asked as I hate it when people talk alot about ex's when dating. Oh and would you think it was weird if a man didn't want you to meet his kids unless you dated for a long time? I don't want my boys meeting every woman I date, I want to wait till it is definately very serious before they meet her (like moving in together serious) so that they don't become attached to people that don't work out. Would that sound insulting?
Thanks

I have been dating this guy for a few months. Last week he told me that he loved me. The next night we went out. I had to pick him up at his house (car trouble). He had his family over an a large group of friends (they are always at his house). When i pulled up they all started to tease him. That night he wanted nothing to do with me, he just wanted to go home. Was it because of his family and friends or because he said I love you the night before, an i did not say anything back.

if so, then are you proud of it?

if you WERE a flirt in the past, (and not now) how did you overcome this habit?

My grandfather and I were very close when I was young. But it seems as soon as I hit 16, he couldn't stand anything I did. Now, at 18, he never has anything nice to say about/to me. I'm not a bad kid, but he makes me feel like I'm the worst person on the planet. He hates the way I dress, he hates my friends, he hates everything I do, and he makes it known in the most hurtful of ways. Is this a normal thing? Generation gap? What can I do to avoid conflict?

I met a guy online a month and a half ago. It was fireworks the first time we spoke after endless emails and IM's. The connection was so strong that words cannot describe it. When we finally met face to face, we both knew that us getting together was a sign from the heavens. I felt like I knew him for many years and the chemistry, besides physically and emotionally, was very strong between us. We are both single parents with demanding occupations and with our mutual feelings, we could work on the relationship. We have talked endlessly in making plans to see each other even thought we live 35-40 minutes from one another. Then he was MIA. Last week, I IM-ed him, no response. I emailed him, no response. I call him, no repsonse. I would like to get advice of not giving up or just let him back out into the wild? And why do men, still insist to play these childish games when they put their "eye catching" profiles in a singles matching website? Is it me, or am I a sucker?

Between my husbands ex. who is only involved with her kids for the fun things, her family which causes problems in my house, my ex who was once a great dad to my child but has now seemed to drop of the face of the palnet, my exs family who one moment tells me to take him to court for child support and the next saying how hard life is for him, my husbands family who just leaves me annoyed and tired, my family who has only seemed to really care about me since I got married to the man of their dreams, and my husband who is a great dad when it comes to palying with the kids but wont touch anything that deals with fealings, or supporting me. I have no freinds to talk to because my husband has ran them all off and I'm left with crying kids waunderung when their mom/dad is going to come see them and a husband who tells them thats life. I know i should be abel to handle it, but I'm really failing between work school and family, I feel like I'm losing it, can any one help me here.

Is it necessary to challange your partners love for you by bringing out any form of jealousy?...I am going out with someone else, you'll have to understand he/she was there before you....

Is third party intervention necessary to prove or challange someone's love for you.

So It almost the last day of school and i havent make any progress. i know where she live cuz we walk the same way home. So i was thinking about writing a love letter telling her how i feel about her and leaving it on her doorstep. You think thats a good idea or is that kind of creepy from a person she doesnt even know. Will she get creepy out or will she be flatter. I think she will know its me

i broke up with my ex 3 months ago. he kinda liked this girl (sam) a month later, then i wanted him back. now that i convinced myself it was over he calls to tell me he thinks he wants to get back together b/c he doesn't feel he's right for sam or vice versa. he says that i'm right for him b/c i've cared more then anyone else, including sam. i want to get back w/him...but idk. i don't want to feel like 'the second choice' or the 'back-up', even if i was first. he always told me i was right for him. what do you think i should do? i suppose i'm just letting my pride get in the way...
