Certainly the Climate Change will be devastating in many ways but the health of the planet shouldn't be compromised too much. I am sure we are much better off with more CO2 in the air than more Nuclear plants. Nuclear and other waste are far more dangerous than Global Warming gases.

...then why are we in such a rush? Certainly in 500 years when its a balmy 10 degrees hotter we will have made enough progress to have figured out the problem, so we does it seem like people are freaking out telling us we have to act immediately? Why not make it a slow long drawn out process of taking better care of the earth, as oppose to a rush job that potentially causes a lot of economic harm?

The recent climate report clearly indicates that it is doomsday by the year 2050. The report suggests that we should immediately stop consumption of crude oil. But no one is listening. Under such circumstances how can one save the Earth.

I just bought a pack of "green" lightbulbs, but thought it may be wasteful to just throw away 6 lightbulbs that still work just fine.

What do you all think?

Why green? I remember learning that black absorbs the most light -- hence the suckiness of a black shirt on a sunny day.

And if green's so great, why aren't solar a leafier hue?

I have been reading many of the answers for going "green" but quite often they don't apply - we can't change light bulbs or the thermostat temperature and of course we already have MANY recycling cans around for both paper and cans/bottles. Any suggestions would be great! We want to put up a few posters around the office with suggestions as well as add them to our internal web page.

Thanks!!!

I'm at a point in life where I can buy a new car. I really want to be conscientious and get a Prius, but I heard that there is a chance of being electrocuted if it rains a lot. Is that true? That scared me.

What are they made of?
Are they recyclable?
Do the produce anything?
Do they allow water vapours?
How do they affect the environment?
