I'm doing a research on McDonald's packaging.
What are they made of?
Are they recyclable?
Do the produce anything?
Do they allow water vapours?
How do they affect the environment?

Don't worry about the packaging. Worry about McDonald's. They torture their animals before they kill them. They aren't recyclable. They contribute a great deal to land fills so yes, they are very bad for the environment. Not to mention they drug up their chickens to make them have 'better meat' which just makes the meat worse for you. Boycott McDonalds. They suck and make America fat.

The container they serve their pancakes in looks like styrofoam. Some of the packaging may be recyclable, but a question to ask "does it get recycled?" A lot of recycling centers will not accept greasy stuff or stuff with food on it.

McDonalds uses a variety of sources for their packaging. If you are referring to their clamshells, they are not made of recycled paper - the FDA will not allow recycled products to touch food. They are, however, biodegradable and recyclable.

You'd probably have to contact McDonald's an answer. Also, overseas, McDonald's still uses styrofoam packages, like the old Big Mac ones.
