I'm going out on a limb here, but I think most people are tired of hearing about their "upcoming" albums...for plenty of reasons.

How do you think these new albums will be received by their respective fans and the public here in the States and worldwide?

Many of us -- myself included -- fancy ourselves as music snobs, at least in the sense that we will fiercely defend what we like to others.

For a lot of us, a song loses its appeal after being played countless times on the radio, adding a shine to songs that aren't as overexposed. We can listen to them, and often find an entirely new appreciation for them because those songs feel like they belong to YOU, "the real fan" versus "the radio fan".

Are there any commercially successful artists whom you feel this applies to?

I have one of their albums, and I see absolutely nothing "emo" about them, with the exception of the song Carpal Tunnel of Love. Why does everyone say they're emo?

Please don't bring up whether their music is good or bad.

Kind of a "snapshot" question, if I could "tune-in" to your city's radio stations......plus I'm just the curious type.

does anyone know of any good bands that aren't really that famous because the songs on the radio are getting old and I just want to listen to something new. ( No rap or hip hop perferably).

Does anyone know if that song that Squidward's town band played at the Bubble Bowl from "Band Geeks" (I think) is a real song? They sing about Sweet Victory. It sounds like an 80's rock song. If this is a real song, can you leave the song title and artist? Thank you.

I love both these bands, but for totally different reasons. I'd have to say that Modest Mouse beats the Shins, but they're both great. They also both have really, really deep lyrics.

For a band that sang only beach songs, they sure are heaped upon with "great" praise. After all, they were the best the American music producers could come up with to counter the British Invasion (that and unfairly ignoring Motown...this coming from a white guy who wasn't even born yet). What the hell was so special about these guys? Brian Wilson was not the great songwriter everyone makes him out to be (c'mon now, Peter Cetera was so much better). The rest of the guys were hacks. Why the adoration?

I do not understand why the public still fawns over this guy. "King of Rock and Roll?" How about king of the no-talent trailer trash set? He only wrote three of his own songs and they were co-writes at best. All he had was a voice, and that was it. What was so special about this guy?

It is funny that the so-called "king" died on the "throne"!

I really regret missing 1973-1975 Genesis (I was at primary school) and they apparently recreate the whole thing, but I'd like to hear someone's opinion. This must sound so sad to anyone who thinks genesis are just phil collins singing "Abacab" or "I can't dance", or whatever they do now, but that's, erm, progress, I guess.....
