Well today's top 40 is just plain dissapointing, and is disgusting. I can't stand that emo crap that people today call music. Rock N Roll is the only thing that makes me feel good about myself, and inspires me to be creative, and express what I believe politically and spiritually. Here's a sample of what I call music.

Eric Clapton
Led Zeppelin
Jethro Tull
The Beatles
Dire Straits
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Rush
Lynyrd Skynyrd

Making music today require no talent. Synthesisers and vocal transformation tools will never replace the sound of a natural human voice.Guitarists back in the 70's had true talent and ability to imrovise. Name one current guitarist thats better than Clapton, Page, and Downing.

No offence, but the only whining I can't stand is when people start whining about how bad music is today. There were bad musicians in Van Morrison's time, and there are bad musicians today. And by the same token, there are a lot of really great bands and musicians around now. So you're either not looking hard enough, or else you just like to sound elite and superior by reminiscing about the good old days of rock and roll. Sorry to be so blunt, but it's true.

I guess like all of us who yearn to hear some great rock and roll music they have unfortunately faded away in another era and another time . Maybe these musicians suck today because they have all the technology at their fingertips that they can synthesize their sound so a wail can sound like a diva at an opera or someone is a genius at playing an instrument while they are nothing more than a hack who had an image of a winner to an agent.

Moon Dance is the 1st one I found out that i in my opinion enjoyed. And Into The Mystic. cleansing domicile windows is an extremely cool jam because of the fact he talks approximately "Kerouac's 'Dharma Bums' and 'on the line'" j:)

Me too, it's like everyone forgot the past and what made music then, musicianship. Now you have to find it elsewhere in other genres. My largest problem is that the blues has been forgotten. You think back to all the good old songs and they were rooted in blues and had soul and feeling to them. Now it's just 3 chord crap like the Beatles were when they began.
