I want to learn more about opera.
I am listening to a bit of Sarah Brightman and like it.
Where do I go from here?

I dont understand why it is so important to know it. As far as i know, it doesnt give you an idea of what type of notes you should be playing (which i thought the reason for knowing it was)

What Classical music has a lot of bass in it? I'm thinking something along the lines of Mozart's Symphony in E flat (KV 16) Presto.

I have been composing music for a long time; nothing like teen angst or pop, just good old classical and contemporary music (stuff like George Winston). I am interesting in some contests for high school age composers, and I was wondering if anyone knew a few contests I could enter for scholarship money and cash prizes. Thankyou so much! I really appreciate your info!!!

I like to listen to soundtracks from movies, mostly fantasy like from the Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean or Star Wars, and mostly things that are symphonic. I'm looking for some good music to listen to and don't know what to look up. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've just lately taken a real shining to classical music, and my collection is quite pathetic. I'm going to expand it and would love some recommendations on what to include. I should say that I already have quite a bit of Mozart and Beethoven, and am looking for something heavier, like Wagner's later operas. Any suggestions?

I like music but once you get into classical and have the regular pieces it is very hard to find the ones that you want after.

Hey guys, my dear Italians ..
there is an italian version of the famous "Old McDonald has a farm"..
I used to see it when I was a child, although I wasn't able to understand a word, but I liked it a lot..
now I need to refresh my childhood memories.. so I searched for it everywhere, no success.. I think people speaking the same language as the song can do that easily..
For those that do not know the clip.. here is a link to a version "that I found, and i'm not searching for"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KAN90L37M4

I hope to find the version that was in the garden - or even on the theater performed by little kids like the one in the song "VOLA VOLA" ..

any help??????
