Yesterday I played "A Comme Amour" at a talent show.and the audience loved it. I want to learn and perform something else though. What do you think would really dazzle an audience? http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=a+comme+amour+1978

Many years ago, a duo, Ferrante & Teicher, who performed on duo pianos, had a song out called "Theme from the Apartment." That's always been my favorite piano song. If you want to dazzle them on the piano, I can't help you there. Maybe you can play something Jim Brinkman has/had out. He's a great pianist from Cleveland, Ohio. (my home state until a year ago)

The piano piece I love the most I have heard live - Beethoven's Appassionata

1. J'eau deux - Ravel

2. Concerto for the Left Hand - Ravel (This was actually performed at the university my sophomore year by my teacher BUT I was on exchange overseas!!!)

If you can manage Beethoven's Apassionata, that would be most impressive. It is the one piece I would love to hear live in an intimate (room or small hall) setting. But there is a reason it is impressive: it is extremely difficult (especially the last movement).

Two piano pieces I would love to hear live are Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" (C-sharp minor) and Debussy's Claire de la Lune. Both of these pieces are fantastic and would earn you major points with the judges!!!

I would LOVE to hear Liszt's Liebestraume No. 3 in A-flat in concert. I'm waiting for the day.

Also, Chopin's Prelude in E minor. Mmmmm...

Any of the four Chopin Ballades are good show pieces. But they are difficult.

"The Rite of Spring" by Igor Stravinsky, because it is difficult.
