I Dreamt I Dwelt In Marble Halls is from Balfes opera The Bohemian Girl and there is a version sung by Joan Sutherland on the cd your hundred best tunes volume 4 on Decca catologue number 425 850-2. This disc also has some other wonderful tunes on it and can be highly recommended.
P.S. My Father who is now 90 had different lyrics to this song
when he was a young lad ! it went " I dreamt i was tickling my grandfathers balls with lots of white oils & a feather " are the only lines he can now remember !

I don't know about Jessye Norman, but in Michael Flatley's Feet of Flames Irish dance show, Anne Buckley sings it, and it is gorgeous!
