There's a new commercial for Kohl's, where a bunch of teenagers are playing music in a garage in plain-looking clothes, then later playing a concert on stage, all dressed up.
The music sounds a little like punk rock (for lack of a better description), and there's a young woman singing. I can't remember the lyrics, but it's a very catchy tune, with a heavy guitar sound. Perhaps the music is just a product of a flashy ad campaign, or maybe its a real song from a real band. Does anyone know?

When you turn on the radio these days, all you here is bad, but commercial music. It's very disappointing that there is much less talent out there than there use to be back in the day. The only artists that are worth listening to nowadays are hidden, they're "underground artists", because mainstream music sucks.

I'm 17, and i consider myself very lucky to have a dad that taught me all about the music he listens to while he was growing up (the beatles, led zeppelin, the cure, pat benatar, dire straits, ...).

I can't stand the fact that all you here right now is P.Diddy, Akon, Rihanna, Hanna Montana, etc..

I recently started getting guitar lessons. I am paying $15 for a half an hour. Well, the thing is, the guy who teaches me spends half the time writing things down that he is going to show me. He will draw out the chords and write down sentences like, "Remember to pat foot." I feel like this should be something he should have pre-printed for the lesson and should hand to me and say, "Let's do this." Also, he cut my lesson short about 5 minutes yesterday and said that was all he had. Plus he spent the first 1-2 minutes playing around on my guitar. Is this normal practice? Thanks.
