You would have thought he would have learnt his lesson, he married Heather Mills, she took his name and look what happened then!

I can't stand the guy, he's an egotistical tw*t and has brought his children up in the same manner. The whole family remind me of Chavs with money. Full of their own self importance and little regard for others. The one think that makes me laugh is the recognition he wants is dished out on Lennon and Harrison and I think its great that he's missing out.

Instead of acting like a spoilt kid why doesn't he use some of his wealth and influence to do some good in the world. At least Lennon used his status to pressure the authorities into ending the Vietnam war.

The London Eye ! Has the man got no ambition? What about renaming London ? or is that next on his list. If we give him his way this time and who knows where it will stop.

Could be ego. Could be just a publicity stunt. Could be he wants one more hurray before retirement. Could be he's figured out that success is really good revenge and he's showing his former wife (in a BIG way) that he's going to be fine. Could also be he's trying to recoup some of the cash she relieved him of.

Sure the guy's got an ego but with everything he's achieved I think he's entitled to it. Let's face it, most of the answers to this question are from talentless nobodies whose only contribution to society and only outlet for their own egos is by slagging off other people who have achieved more than they could ever dream of. If you don't like the guy, don't buy his music, simple as that.

I dunno... in the article he says that 'the London Eye is the other most famous Eye in the world'... but I don't get what the first famous eye could be- like, is his 'McCartney Years' tour going to be called 'Eye' or something?

Rock stars do strange things, but they sometimes create good music as well, so I tend to forgive them...

I think you may be jumping to conclusions, this just looks like a publicity thing to promote a cd. Macca is hardly the only person to do that!

As for the talentless critics...whoopie-Dooo!

I dont think rock musicians should have anything named after them apart from drug rehab centres, as its their influence partly to blame for drug abuse, with the help of the media..
