Here are my favorite depressing dead-people songs:
"Dust in the Wind"- Kansas
"Hallelujah"-Rufus Wainwright
"Tears In Heaven"-Eric Clapton
"I Will Remember You"- Sarah MacLachlan
"My Immortal"-Evanescence
"Hard To Say Goodbye"- Boyz II Men

If you've lost someone, I am sorry.

The one that jumped into my head was "In the Living Years". I think it was Mike & the Mechanics back in the late 80's but I'm not sure. It was about a man evaluating his relationship with his dad after his dad died.

I'm sure there are better ones, that's what popped in my head.

Wonderwall by Ryan Adams...it's a cover from Oasis but I like the slow beat to it. I don't know if it would fit for losing someone but it's my all time favorite slow song.
