I'm joining jazz band, and this is my first year joining it. I got invited by one of the jazz band teachers. I play classical piano, and i do know some jazz music, but not so good at it. Do i need some special talent on piano to be in jazz band? what do i need to know specifically for jazz band? i dont wanna look like an idiot joining jazz band this year =( haha thx!

There was a song my grandpa used to play for me all the time in the car when we went somewhere, and it said something like:

"I'm sittin' in my la la waitin' for my ya ya"

I don't remember if it was "la la" and "ya ya" for sure, but it's definitely "I'm sittin' in my _______ waitin' for my _______"

The guy sang in a high pitched voice, it almost sounded like the Tokens.

Whoever helps me find this deserves ten points and my undying gratitude. the song just randomly popped in my head the other day and I haven't heard it since I was about 4 or 5.

Lyrics would be great too, just so I can confirm it is the song i'm talking about...

i was listening to a song in my friends truck and it was so catchy it was stuck in my had fo hours. all i remember is when there was 2 guys singingone was doing his voice fom low to high ( oh ah aha ah ah ah oh oh) and while he was singing that the other guy would b saying stuff in the backound anyone know this song?

i dont know the name of the song but i think i remmember it's chorus: "i'm gonna be someone gonna be someone gonna be someone" or something very similiar.
and it's kinda of a soft melody with a guitar.

I'm a beginner on guitar, and I've been playing an acoustic for a few months. I'm really serious about it, and I'd like to buy a nice strat that will last me a while. I can't really afford an actual Fender Strat, but I've seen multitudes of various off-brand Strat-look-a-likes at local pawn shops.
