Artist and title of a 50's/ 60's song?

There was a song my grandpa used to play for me all the time in the car when we went somewhere, and it said something like:

"I'm sittin' in my la la waitin' for my ya ya"

I don't remember if it was "la la" and "ya ya" for sure, but it's definitely "I'm sittin' in my _______ waitin' for my _______"

The guy sang in a high pitched voice, it almost sounded like the Tokens.

Whoever helps me find this deserves ten points and my undying gratitude. the song just randomly popped in my head the other day and I haven't heard it since I was about 4 or 5.

Lyrics would be great too, just so I can confirm it is the song i'm talking about...
