I just began playing piano. Moreover I’m very confused at this moment. I don’t understand what legato means, also what "play smoothly” means.

Im sorry i cant even remember the lyrics but i know the song is talking about how this guy has found love again and his mom thinks his crazy but then he starts to explain how she fixes him breakfast and all the onther things she does. I've had this song in my head for a while now and I can't seem to find the artist or title. All I know is a woman sings it and I think it's an oldie. The only lyrics I could pick up from the refrain sound something like "Keep on walking on, walking on, walking on baaaaaaaaack". Can anyone help me out? It's a very upbeat song.

I remember a song that came out a few years ago that talked about in 10 years......, then in 20 years........, then in 30 years .....and so on. It might've said something more of at 20 years and so on. It was a song about life and it was a really good song. I want to say it was john mayer but i couldn't find it in his songs.
