All I have to say for all of you out there with such strong opinions either way......
It all comes from the blues
And no one should be so closed minded to totally dismiss any type of music.
There are talented artists and not so talented artists from all types of music.....

It relies upon what sort of style you have once you're a energetic exciting individual and are loopy you're possibly going to love rap yet once you're extra on the calm section you're able to possibly like rock n roll

Let's see: Rock = 40 year old regurgitated hippie music, rap = regurgitated 30 year old post-funk/disco music. I guess rap is slightly less useless, since it's been regurgitated for less time. It will be great when they both join ragtime on the list of forgotten american music. But don't count on that with a recording industry that's gotten so good at brainwashing succeeding generations of black and white youth into forgetting about imagination.

Rock and Roll is much better than Rap.... Although Motown R& B is better than Rock and Roll (At least it was a founding father of rock and roll)....
And blues of course wipes the floor with all of them.

Rock is way better. Rock lyrics actually have meaning while the rap is about sex and ugly things. White Woman.

ALL music sucks right now. Rock was good until about 1991. Hip-hop started to suck around 1996. Seriously, my favorite musical era was about 1982 - 1992.
