For those who have a band this one is for you.

Can you use a sheet of music of some of your songs, in your first concert? Or you have to memorize

Well I don't play guitar but I decided to learn so I brought an old acoustic one from a guy at work.. it was missing a few strings so I bought some new ones. However when I put them on and tried to tune it they started snapping before I could get them tight enough. What am I doing wrong, as I don't want to lose an eye? :)

There's this classic rock song that I heard on the radio the other day. The guy mumbled so much that I couldn't make out alot of the lyrics, so I'm kinda stuck with finding out who did it. It has the lyrics "well I find" and "always win" in the chorus. Another line I could make out from one of the stanzas is "son you gotta grow up strong". It has some really fun guitar riffs and, like I said, the guy is kinda hard to understand. Does anyone know what it is?

Has anyone seen the video for Nice and Blue Pt. 2 by mewithoutyou?
What do you think about it.
I think the speedo thing is a little weird especially since they are synchronized swimmers. But it's great!!

I love that song, but if its about a boy who knows his girl is cheating on him, then why did they make the video a parody of Fight Club?

I have been playing guitar for 7 years and have written many heavy metal songs and heavy rock. I have recently gotten alot into pop indie, sorta death cab for cutie, hush sound, etc. I would like to start a project with this and am having some trouble figuring out how to write these sorta songs. I am used to starting with a complex guitar riff, whereas it seems these start with a catcy singing hook. Any tips/thoughts?

I love music by Diana Ross, the Supremes, and Billie Holiday. My husband thinks I'm weird to like that type of music seeing as how I'm only 21. So, am I alone here?

I'm reading Jamie Andreas' "The Principles of the Correct Practice for the Guitar" and it's said that it's necessary to make sure that my muscles aren't tense.

Although I feel that my right leg is not relaxed enough it's like an abnormal feeling, I can't tell that it's tensed and I feel pain, but though I don't feel comfortable and relaxed.

-So can anybody inform me about the correct position of my right leg while practicing in the Classical Sitting Position?

-Can anybody tell me how many inches do i need to elevate my left leg to make the muscles involved relaxed?

-What are the specs of the best chair to practice on?

-How many inches do I need to elevate my left foot?

Thanks in Advance!
