I'm reading Jamie Andreas' "The Principles of the Correct Practice for the Guitar" and it's said that it's necessary to make sure that my muscles aren't tense.

Although I feel that my right leg is not relaxed enough it's like an abnormal feeling, I can't tell that it's tensed and I feel pain, but though I don't feel comfortable and relaxed.

-So can anybody inform me about the correct position of my right leg while practicing in the Classical Sitting Position?

-Can anybody tell me how many inches do i need to elevate my left leg to make the muscles involved relaxed?

-What are the specs of the best chair to practice on?

-How many inches do I need to elevate my left foot?

Thanks in Advance!

I like to sit in a chair that allows my right foot to be flat on the floor with my right shin at a right angle to my right thigh. An adjustable chair or bench (I like to sit on a padded piano bench) works great. You'll have to experiment with the height of your left foot. Get a stack of old books and then you can add a book or remove a couple, etc. as needed.

your right leg should just be on the floor , its your left leg that has to be raised about 15 cm .A good chair should be one without arms a good comfy hight depending on how tall you are .Anyway if you got anymore questions about anything with guitar email me at my email and remember i am top guitarist
