I want to be able to play the guitar but i dont know which guitar would be good for me, an acoustic, bass, or electric. Are any of them harder then the other or are they all equally the same when coming to learn how to play. Also i dont play on taking any lessons by friend told me he could help me play and he told me about tabs or something where it tells me how to play the whole song is this easy to do?

I want some good music- some stuff that I can move to. I like to listen to music while getting ready in the morning, cleaning, walking to school, ect. My stuff is getting a little over-played. I like different types of music, but I mostly like pop/hip hop songs. I rarely like rock and stuff....Does anyone have any good songs they'd like to share with me? Thanksies =)

Got a quick question for all slap basses. I know there are two different ways to play the note, either by striking it with the thumb or by plucking it.
`What I need to ask is whether there is any hard and fast rule for deciding how to play the string. I'm referring to pieces played by ear rather than by slap bass music.
Anything appreciated!

It is one of those pedals with 80 different effects and I play bass in one of my bands and it would be cool to know if I could use it with no harm to the pedal or bass.

50 cent said of Gorillaz "They aren't a normaly functioning band." and decried their win at the EMA's.

We all know the characters of the band are animations, no more real that InuYasha or Yogi Bear. But do you consider the musicians behind the characters a real band? Should they be up for awards? Or should they been seen on the same level as Alvin and the Chipmunks?

For the record, I'm a fan. And I consider them a real band as the musicians and animators are obviously talented. The music is tight, and there are real artists behind it. But I'd like to see what others think?

i wanna learn electric bass and that`s what she said. Wouldn`t it be harder to switch over ? and wasting money on both instruments and lessons? I just wanna focus on bass. i don`t care bout acoustic. B/s a lot of people play guitar. What do u think and what should i do ?
