i have to write a blues lyric for my music class and i cant come up with anything. heres how one goes.
1st line- states problem (my teacher is gonna make me take that test)
2nd line- repeat of first line with slight intervention (my mean old teacher is gonna make me take that darn test)
3rd line- solves or resolution to problem (ill probably flunk it juz like all the rest)

What exactly did the Dixie Chicks do to make people hate them so much? I know it had something to do with President Bush. I was wondering because there are a lot of people who are mad about all the grammys they won last night.

I've looked all over and can find plenty of references to this song, by Red Buttons, to confirm I have the title right, but strangely I cannot find the lyrics posted anywhere. I remember bits, but not the whole song.

One verse goes something like:

"Since girls wear those blue jeans, my troubles just never cease
What looks like my nephew, turns out to be my niece."

The chorus was:

"Ho ho! Hee hee! Ha ha!
Strange things are happening!"

Does anyone know this song? Or find the lyrics? Or find something online for me to listen to so I can transcribe them myself?

Ok who else besides me thinks that the grammys are just completely crap. They have the Dixie chicks whose songs are not even played on country radio as top country artist and record. What is that about? I think the awards shows have just gone completely to the dogs. They certainly are not basing it on album sales. They could not sell a record to a country fan if they were giving it to them with free tires. So how much do we believe that the grammys are based on facts. figures and fan opinion? I have no confidence in the grammys anymore

Speaking strictly as a fan of music...I heard parts of their Album and actually thought Home with "Long Time Gone" was a better album...and "Goodbye Earl" a great deal more tongue in cheek in humor...do you think they won simply as a shot back to the more conservative right???

Their song was the least played of all the nominees. That just doesn't make any sense. It proves that there is a bias that can easily be found.

anyone know the pharell song where at the beginnin someone says "ladies and gentlemen" and then someone who i think is pharell goes on to sing "i like ur moves and ur grooves and ur..."
somethin somethin.
