Their song was the least played of all the nominees. That just doesn't make any sense. It proves that there is a bias that can easily be found.

The Grammies are POLITICAL,. they aren't about MUSIC. If you hadn't figured that out yet, then I hope you are a teenager or something. They CLAIM that they got in trouble for her comment against Bush but really that wasn't the case. The real problem was she started a feud with Toby Keith. He ended it when he realized how childish he was being as well. She then wore a t-shirt saying F.U.T.K. to a concert where the song was going to be telecast at the CMAs. After that their career basically ended. So now she claims it is about Bush because people who don't listen to country music don't remember what REALLY happened, if they knew in the first place.

If you wanted to take a look at this from a different angle...these awards shows do seem to put a premium on groups or performers that have overcome adversity, made a comeback, etc. The Dixie Chicks were pretty much dirt a couple of years ago. They've bounced back. I would assume that was a consideration...along with the Grammy's being political of course.

The Dixie Chicks won because they ARE talented, they wrote most if not all of their stuff. Also the Grammy's is more for the songwriters as compared to popular music, that would be the People's Choice Awards. And when you come right down to it The Dixie Chicks are very talented and play almost all of their own instruments.

The Dixie Chicks deserved the Grammy's they won because DC stood up against the right wingers (republicans) who tried to blackball them on radio .

The Dixie Chicks took a lot of heat because they spoke out against the Bush policies in Iraq when it was not popular.

God bless the Dixie Chicks and may they have more success in their career .

The Grammies are like all the other awards shows they are political and only for the "in" crowd not for the general public. The Dixie Chicks career is going down the tube because they make bad music not bad comments. Who in their right mind care what they think?

Because the voting is not based on sales or airplay. This has no bias. This is just like any other Grammy Awards show except this supposedly is more political. Where was everybody's outrage when they awarded Ray Charles for ALBUM OF THE YEAR two years ago?!?

To be worry-free with you i'm detached to the Dixie Chicks i ought to careless one way or yet another. i imagine that Natalie Maines has a large mouth that she ought to come across techniques to save close now and again. i ought to careless what she says about Bush/Chaney she purely needs to come across techniques to save her mouth close only a similar as Rosie O'Donnell.

The politics of it all. They spoke out against Bush, and the Grammy people are probably Democrats.
