Do you really need to take singing lessons? I love to sing and am getting over self-consiousness, but unfortunately I don't have any opportunities right now to really get out and do anything. (No money, can't drive, live on a farm 'way out there. :)

There's one thing I know I WOULDN'T want to do, and that is have to go on concert tours all the time... I would actually like to mostly do recording and can start from home as soon as I get the equipment because my uncle has the know-how... or at least some of it. ;)

However, how does that work? Anyone here done it before? What are the opportunities I should look for?

I should mention that I like traditional/folk/religious/classic music and that type, so I'm not going to fit in just anywhere. :D

Our Lady Peace is the best band EVER, it's Canadian, and I was wondering if any Americans have heard of it before? I know they had some of their songs hit the Top charts in the US, but unfortunately I don't think they've made it very big down there.

If y'all haven't heard of them or only a few of their songs, I really recommend them and specifically, the songs "Lying Awake", "Annie", "Somewhere out There", "Will the Future Blame Us", "Made of Steel" (this one was supposed to be the Spider-Man sountrack single), "Angels/Losing/Sleep", and many many more. If you want more good songs by them just ask in your answer.

Also, tell me if you like 'em!! After you d/l at least a few songs.
