hey gary... not sure if Elvis was the greatest singer of all time !

He was a unique individual for his time, when i was younger I remember my parents playing his tunes & today I've got a few tunes of his in my itunes library !

Quite simply he was and always will be The King. No one I can think of in the music industry is as big as Elvis was, yer Robbie Williams, Michael Jackson etc are very good and could fill a stadium but there is only one Elvis Presley !

Look, Elvis is in a category all his own for one simple reason. The same reason The Beatles, Led Zepplin, and Nirvana they had a true impact on what no one has ever seen or done before but that doesn't mean there the greatest band or singer of all time. Great innovators yes but not the best at what they did.

This is all about opinion and I can't really say. Certainly he had a wonderful and very unique voice, he also had great style and charisma, and was probably one of the first really big media superstars.
He broke many moulds and played a major roll in the development of rock n' roll into a worldwide phenomenon, he was the inspiration for the Beatles and many other of the greatest 20th century bands and musicians. I also quite liked his films. it is interesting that he is one of the few singers who had the same voice speaking as he did singing.

Certainly he was one of the greatest.

No. As overall musical talent, I think Bono by far is the best. When talking about a rock and roll singer, Robert Plant and Jim Morrison, though there are plenty of others who were also really good. Axl Rose had a unique voice but was a complete asshole.

Elvis is the most over rated singer of all time . Tacky with it . How old was Priscilla when he was having a sexual relationship with her? I think you would find that she was well under the age of consent. He would be arrested for that nowadays. There is also a name for people like that.

Actually Elvis wasn't a very strong singer by definition. But his music is great.

Greatest entertainer maybe, singer not so sure. john lennon was pretty good. Elvis voice is unusual which gives him an edge, but I like Simon and Garfunkel more.
