Music - 11 January 2007

I absolutely ADORE Don McLean's song "American Pie", but I'd love to hear it with acoustics and electric guitar and whatever else, percussion, etc.

Madonna covered it in the 1990s, and her version sucked balls, so I was wonderin' if anyone knew about an upcoming cover of the song, and NOT some stupid disco remix, those suck too.

If nobody has any information, do y'all agree that there should be a recover?

There is a short story i read and had years ago but lost it through the moves I have made in my life. Please help me find this story again. It is a chritian story of the death of Christ.

In the story it is about a Centarian who was warming himself by a fire with a stranger and he told the stranger what had happen that day...that he took part in Christ's death...at the end of the story the other man showed his hands and he had holes where they drove the stake into him...

I've read that the song is made from two separate recordings at different speeds, and the second was slowed down to match the tempo of the first. My question is this: was the second recording spliced in only once in the song, or was it spliced in over and over (since "let me take you down..." comes around more than once)? Just curious.
