I absolutely ADORE Don McLean's song "American Pie", but I'd love to hear it with acoustics and electric guitar and whatever else, percussion, etc.
Madonna covered it in the 1990s, and her version sucked balls, so I was wonderin' if anyone knew about an upcoming cover of the song, and NOT some stupid disco remix, those suck too.
If nobody has any information, do y'all agree that there should be a recover?

I could sing it for you if you would like, it won't sound good, but I promise it won't be a disco remix.
I actually don't like most remakes of songs, so I say "Leave it alone", no one should cover it. Don McLean did it best.

Actually, back in the mid/late 90's.. Garth Brooks did an amazing version of that song (accompanied with Don McLean, himself) for his 'Life From Central Park' special.
My brother found the audio track for it on Limewire.

Yes, Madonna's version must be erased from memory forever. I love Don McLean's version also.

My brother-in-law and i have done it, and it sounds pretty good with male and female vocals. but truthfully, i think maybe it is one of those songs that just needs to stay the way it is. i am really glad i have NOT heard the madonna version though.
