i don't mean greenday, my chemical romance, MTV polished crap

i mean like the partisans, blanks 77, monster squad, old bad religion, old anti-flag, the exploited, lower class brats, crass, black flag, vandals, adicts, etc.

You know, there are some musicians the critics all love who just want me to stick pencils through my eardrums. For my money, Brian Eno is the worst. The critics love him, hearing him makes me want to jump off a tall building to make it stop.

ok the lyrics go like this: "these words are my own, from my heart, i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you" then she is talking about how her songs/ryhmes arnt quite good enough. if you know who sings it and what song it is please tell me.

The song is from the 80's I guess. Not actually sure. But the chorus is basically, "Just call my name, and I'll come running'. Some of the other words are:
Never (Ever?) had a love that you could call on when you were in trouble...

Never have to fear, that I won't have time, for you when you worry...

And I'm drawing a blank on the rest. No clue who sings it...

Oh the last line is 'If you ever need a friend."

Hopefully someone out there in yahoo land can help me. I tread to search online but it didn't give me the one I was looking for.
