volunteer at local news stations, radio stations. Volunteer for a little while or long while, eventually they will hire you because...guess what?
YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE...and that is really what it is all about.
GOOD LUCK, hope to see you on tv someday!

Cotact your local radio station and request an internship.. you may work crappy hours and do "mundane" stuff but if you get in there and work hard and show them that you mean business, they'll respect you and maybe give you your first chance on air. Also, if you're in college you can arrange to earn credit.
Broadcasting is a tough field but if you stick with it and work hard you will have so much fun.

definitely, the leading factor is a degree from college..can be on JOURNALISM or MASS COMMUNICATIONS!!! but then, you can still have broadcasting as you wish. If you do have the potential, the wil power and faith of what you can do!...you must have the power to interact with the people outside, your awareness of the previous and current issues!!!..
