The Beatles although you have to give it to the Rolling Stones who are still touring 40 years later.

The Beatles. I love the Rolling Stones too but the Beatles released more brilliant music in 8 years than The Rolling stones have in 43 years. Also, the Rolling Stones owe their entire career to the Beatles, it was George Harrison who recommended them to Decca records, and their first hit was a Beatles song.

Are you kidding me??! It is soooooooooo obviously The Beatles. I personally hate The Rolling Stones, thought. But overall, everyone would say that The Beatles are better.

Wow hard to decide, they had completely contrasting styles both in their music and their images.
The Beatles kept changing their look and music style from one album to another and still keeping their fanbase intrigued.
The Stones had their look and music style, and kept it much the same(even today, to a small extent).
The Beatles came on hot and heavy and were all the rage for a few years, however The Stones have had longevity on their side,still do, therefore touching a more diverse fanbase age wise.
Since it really is hard to decide, I choose: HERMAN'S HERMITS.

Beatles-songs were and still are quite good and they were fortunate to have worked with Sir George Martin who was willing to experiment along with new recording techniques and instrumentation as much as they were-they made an excellent team.
