Music - 19 October 2006

It seems that "great" classical music only goes up to the 50's. Copland, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Gershwin are all from the first half of the century.

But my collection has nothing created in my lifetime. Am I missing someone??

Hey I just downloaded the Evanescence - Bring me to Life music Video! It's a really cool video but i have a question! The guy that sings in the video that grabs Amy's hand on the building...who is he? He looks familiar! He's not a member of the band is he? Whats his name? Where would i know him from! Alright, I just read an article about the Numa Numa internet phenomenon. I went on YouTube and there certianly are thousands of Numa Numa "dances". How come I've never heard about this song up until today? Did it get heavy radio play in the US or was it just an internet cult song?

P!ATD is my favorite band ever. I love everything about them. They have a concert coming up next month in Charlotte, NC. (about 4hrs. from where I live) My best friend and I are dying to go. She's 17 and her mom said she could go. However, my parents are saying I can't...and I'm 18. I've explained time and time again, that going to see Panic! would mean the WORLD to me, yet they still say no. You see, the concert is the week before I move to another state, so I really want to go and have one last awesome time here. When I ask them why I can't go, they never give me a reason. Some of my other friends are saying that I should just go anyway because I'm legally an adult and I should be able to make my own decisions. And I do agree with that, plus like I said before, going to this concert would mean so much to me.

What do you think, should I go anyway?

I just bought an accoutsic guitar about 5 days ago and I feel like giving up! All I've been doing is random strumming. UGH! It's so hard. I can't move my fingers that fast from chord to chord and I feel like I'm always going to be this slow! And I can't remember any of the places where to put my fingers. I don't know any of the terms, it's all so complicating! I can't understand the guides and this is just so hard and overwhelming. When I got my guitar I thought it'd it be a piece of cake, but it's turning out to be so extremely hard! What do you suggest I do? I'm a TOTAL begginer, I don't know anything about the guitar and I feel like just giving up. I see other people play and they make it look so damn easy! What am I doing wrong?
