The song is from the 80's I guess. Not actually sure. But the chorus is basically, "Just call my name, and I'll come running'. Some of the other words are:
Never (Ever?) had a love that you could call on when you were in trouble...
Never have to fear, that I won't have time, for you when you worry...
And I'm drawing a blank on the rest. No clue who sings it...
Oh the last line is 'If you ever need a friend."
Hopefully someone out there in yahoo land can help me. I tread to search online but it didn't give me the one I was looking for.

It could be "You've Got a Friend," by James Taylor. If so, it may even be a 70s song. Some of the lyrics I recall are: "You just call out my name, and you know wherever I am, I'll come running.... to see you again. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you got to do is call. now i have the song stuck in my head! i can't remember who sings it but i do remember that he was married to carly simon. i think his first name is james. that is all i can think of--sorry
