id say slayer. love the albums hell awaits and divine intervention.
Reign in blood is a classic. Their new album rules. keep playing the song cult over and over again.Dont listen to some people though because Cannibal corpse is really awesome and talented for a death metal group. you should see Alex Webster live. Hes a bass god. My favorite album of theirs is Vile, but I love Tomb of the mutilated and Bleeding, which is considered their best. i like chris barnes, but I prefer them live and can understand the lyrics better with corpsegrinder.

slayer is god.nothing compares to slayer,they practically invented the death metal genre.but i think CANNIBAL CORPSE is better in terms of music technique.alex is god,dave is a beast on drums,all CANNIBAL CORPSE guitar players are some of the best players out there,r.i.p jeff.

It would take a musician to appreciate what some of those speed players are capable of on their instruments.
