I was wondering if movies could have a negative affect on some people. For example romance movies as they tend to depict happy endings that many people wish for. While this makes you happy while seeing the movie, if your own life does not happen to be going in this direction could that just have a negative affect on you.

i am trying to come up with a list of war movies that i remember watching as a kid - primarily ones that took place during the WW2 focusing on escape plots. "the great escape" of course is one, but there are severala others... can you help? escape from colditz is another (where they build a plane in a castle but this is unavailable on DVD - anyone have a copy from the TV?)

I saw it on tv a few years ago, so I am not sure of everything. I think there was a girl who worked at a restaurant or a bar and her friend entered her into a contest to date a celebrity. The girl ends up dating the guys agent. I think it started with the celebrity and agent going to be stars but the friend ended up being the others agent. But I am not positive. Someone told me the movie is Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, is this the movie I am thinking of?

I was reading a article on "V" a old 80's tv show. And it was showing where some of the locations are that were used for filming. I have a friend who's been to some of them.

Anyone ever seen a movie and gone to see where they filmed em?

When MTV did Real World Austin i stopped by the house after it was over to see what it looked like.

My mother and I believe it comes from the movie: 'Shadow of the Thin Man' with William Powell and Myrna Loy. We think the phrase comes from a scene where Myrna runs out of 'Mario's' restraunt and hails a cab, telling him the 'Follow that car', the one her husband is in. The cab then leaves without her.

Back in high school (10yrs ago) some friends of mine found this movie about some redneck that was in love with elvis, he would impersonate him and tap dance. The movie follows his life as he tries to spread his love for elvis and create a career for himself. At one point he ends up on the Rosanne show and gets into a fight with Tom Arnold. I am trying to find a copy of the movie and cannot remember the name....does anyone recognize this movie?

In the end of Titanic when Rose is lying in her bed and having the dream of meeting with Jack again, does she die? I thought maybe so because I noticed most/or all of the people clapping for her went down with the ship. Then at the end the screen goes blank. So I wonder if she died, or it just the end of the movie?

To tell you the truth i didn't like it. I think it was one of those movies that you would have to see more than once to "get". There was just too much going on at the same time and it was hard to follow.
If I seen it again I think I would like it.
