I was reading a article on "V" a old 80's tv show. And it was showing where some of the locations are that were used for filming. I have a friend who's been to some of them.

Anyone ever seen a movie and gone to see where they filmed em?

When MTV did Real World Austin i stopped by the house after it was over to see what it looked like.

speaking of that jedi filming.

did you know it was hunting season at the time, and they were so worried they had Chewbacca duck as much as possible so that a hunter would not mistake him.

Yep! I was born in Morristown, Tennessee (lol) were Sam Rami made the first 'Evil Dead' movie. The cabin in the movie was struck by lightning in the mid-80s and burned to the ground. Now there's a pretty little subdivision there...lol They also filmed the Mel Gibson/Sissy Specek 'The River' just outside of Morristown and even built a little town. Some of the crew from that movie liked the area so much, they actually bought and moved into this made-up town...lol
For the past 20 years or so I've lived in Dalton, Georgia where they made one of Vincent Price's last movies. When it was being filmed it was called 'From A Whisper To A Scream' but you can find it now on video by the name 'The Offspring' (horrible movie by-the-way)...lol
When my sister got married in the early 80s and moved to Yuma, Arizona with her new husband. They were filming a movie there called 'Blue Harvest'. After a couple months of filming word got out that it was actually gonna be called 'Return Of The Jedi', one of them Star Wars movies..lol After that word got out, all the prices at the stores in town tripled. A loaf of bread went from being one dollar to being 3 dollars because they knew the film crew had no choice but to pay it and they knew Star Wars movies had BIG budgets. That's why they were trying to secretly make it under the name of 'Blue Harvest'...lol Just didn't work ;-)
