I saw it on tv a few years ago, so I am not sure of everything. I think there was a girl who worked at a restaurant or a bar and her friend entered her into a contest to date a celebrity. The girl ends up dating the guys agent. I think it started with the celebrity and agent going to be stars but the friend ended up being the others agent. But I am not positive. Someone told me the movie is Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, is this the movie I am thinking of?

I guess it is Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. I will have to buy it and see.
I remembered something else. I think the date contest was set up like a reality show on tv.

That doesn't sound quite like Win A Date. I recently saw that movie and the contest is set up online and she ends up dating her best friend, even though she does have a go at the celebrity. It might be different than the one you are thinking of. I don't think that movie has been on TV yet anyway- it didn't come out that long ago. Instead of buying you could try renting. That way if it's not the movie you were looking for you don't have to be stuck with it.

Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!
Full Synopsis:
Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde) directs the romantic comedy Win a Date With Tad Hamilton! from a screenplay by TV scriptwriter Victor Levin. Famous Hollywood actor Tad Hamilton (soap opera star Josh Duhamel making his film debut) is trying to promote his new movie. His manager (Sean Hayes) and his agent (Nathan Lane) both convince him to participate in a dating contest in order to improve his bad-boy image. The contest is won by Rosalee Futch (Kate Bosworth), an attractive young checkout girl who works at a Piggly Wiggly in West Virginia. When Tad ends up falling in love with her, he's willing to give up big-city life and move to small-town America. Meanwhile, her best friend and co-worker Pete (Topher Grace) is finally motivated to reveal his secret crush on her. Rosalee finds herself in the middle of a love triangle between her closest friend and a dream date. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, All Movie Guide

I don't know what movie it is, but maybe the plot of "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" can help you:
Rosalee Futch is a grocery clerk living in rural West Virginia. But even a small-town girl can have big dreams, and Rosalee's is to someday--somehow--meet her big-screen idol Tad Hamilton. The somehow arrives in the form of a contest--the grand prize: a date with Tad Hamilton--and the someday is now. Rosalee wins, much to the chagrin of her best friend and co-worker Pete, who is deeply, hopelessly--and secretly--in love with Rosalee. The Win a Date contest was cooked up by Tad's agent, Richard Levy, and his manager, also named Richard Levy, to clean up Tad's bad-boy image. Someone should have told them to be careful what you wish for. When Tad meets Rosalee and gets a taste of what he's been missing in the real world, he decides he wants seconds and moves to West Virginia, turning Rosalee's dream come true into a nightmare for Richard Levy, Richard Levy and, most of all, Pete.

I believe the movie you're referring to is "I want to Marry Ryan Banks." It starred Jason Priestly (90210) as Ryan Banks. The girl was entered by her sister...the family owned the bar where she worked. Bradley Cooper was his friend/manager who the girl ends up falling for.
I watched it on ABC Family a year or so ago.
