In the end of Titanic when Rose is lying in her bed and having the dream of meeting with Jack again, does she die? I thought maybe so because I noticed most/or all of the people clapping for her went down with the ship. Then at the end the screen goes blank. So I wonder if she died, or it just the end of the movie?

Jack told Rose, "You're gonna die an old... an old lady warm in her bed." And that is exactly what happened at the end.

im not trying to go all scientific but in the end of the movie yes Rose dies but on the real titanic there was no Rose only Jack Thyer(its spelt something like that) and he lives he doesnt die, and he doesnt fall in love with someone on the ship i know it suspposed to be a tragic love story but come on i mean now almost everyone i know thinks that the movie was real and the life boats did go back to look for survivors...only AFTER they were emptied and the other survivors got onto the ship the Carpathia, and there was another ship the Californian that didnt go to their rescue, i think this needs to be straightened out though i mean they manipulated a very good story and turned it into a tragic love type of thing just to make some money couldnt they have told the truth or atleast something near it

I believe Rose did in fact die. Jack says she'll die an old lady warm in her bed and then in the end it shows her warm in her bed with the scene showing pictures of her life (as if to suggest her life is flashing before her eyes, but in this case before the audience). Then she's seen very still and running through the halls of Titanic. In the room by the clock, she sees all of those that died on Titanic greet her as she reunites with Jack.

I think that is what James Cameron alluded to since she was back on Titanic with Jack and all the others who died when it sank...

That is one way to look at it.

Another way to look at it is she was day dreaming about a love gone by and how she wished it had ended.

The bit about stratling the gard rail is just the "King of the world" moment revisited. Whether she jumped overboard or not is up to you to figure out in your own mind. I don't think she did. i think she just went there to throw the stone overboard in tribute to the man she once loved. After all her daughter was onboard.

It's the audience's job to assume she died and that her vision of Heaven was to go back to her happiest times with Jack and the people on Titanic.

Yeah, I thought she died. She had told her story, she had thrown that priceless diamond back into the water (what a waste!) and now, she just "let go" and went to be reunited with Jack.
