I have looked up the word decadent in several dictionaries and all define the word as "to be decaying or degrading." This doesn't sound too apetizing to me. Why is it used to describe good food then?

. . . that just made me fall over laughing when I was a kid. I think there were a lot of them, but these are the only ones I remember. Can you tell me if there are any more you recall from back then?

"You couldn't hit a bull's butt with a bass fiddle."
"You don't know sh*t from wild honey."

My father used to have all these funny questions that there was no answer to. The only ones I can remember now are: Is it further to
Chicago or by bus? and What would you rather do or ride a bicycle?
Have you heard these or any others you can tell me, and what they are called? I think this used to be a fairly common joke/smartaleck practice way back when (my father would be 79 now).

I don't mean what is the real origin, I mean what would be poetic or ironic if it were.

It occurs to me that Narcissism should be the origin of "arce".

(they've started censoring, I had to misspell that deliberately)
Any more?

Do u like it i wrote

Prophecies of Love

The duty of being a lover is to always be proper
Prompt into interaction motivated to the well being of each other
Dashing to the commitment of getting closer
By heart blinded to witness only one figure
with emotions yearning for closure
Mingling to bring pleasure
But one thought to treasure
In soul tormented by such one crime
The punishment of passion by design
In mind evicted and resigned
Bonded by the aura of your being
As I tame my unrest until the next opportunity
The lyrics of rhythm blunder
As what is to be said blossoms like a fever
Mounting only in intensity with each passing syllable
Discharging such vivacity with each word accountable
Leaving tenacity as the sentences form the miracle
One which only love can spawn.
