i can't remember what that saying is, but it's getting me frustrated because it's on the tip of my tongue and i need it to write. i guess alternate expressions for the phrase are provided by, credited to, thanks to or something like but it's not necessarily meant in a good way. can someone help?

i'm not even sure what category to put this in..

She says "I didn't know my daughter smoked." The brunette walks into her daughters room and finds a beer can. She says "I didn't know my daughter drank." The blonde walks into her daughters room and finds a condom. She says "I didn't know my daughter had a dick"
