It is rhythm.
The y in this word is not considered a vowel since it has it's short pronounciation.
All the others listed, sky, why, etc. the y is considered a vowel because it's using the long form of its pronounciation.
It's tricky when it comes down to the y as a vowel or not.

These are words that are common to both languages. There are lots of words in Welsh without vowels but as I've only just started learning Welsh I don't know many off the top of my head.

as answered previously (and in this section too, i think) unless you count phonemes such as sshhh, pssst, etc as words (and i'm not sure they would count as such, i'd label them written approximations of pure sounds) there is no english (american, canadian or british) word without a vowel, since there can't be, there has to be at least one vowel per syllable
