You apparently have a problem writing them in a coherent sentence as well.

People don't spell by sound only. They study the English language in school and learn the difference between words that sound alike but are spelled differently. Also, some words are spelled totally different than how they sound.

At least we can only hope that's what happens. .... :-\

It's true that it can't always be done. I guess it just takes time to become familiar with words and how they are spelled depending on their meaning or how they are used in a sentence. That's why we go to school. It's a lifetime struggle for most of us. Practice writing, and if you are unsure of the correct spelling and usage, look it up in the dictionary. I love words and writing, so it was never a chore for me. Keep up the good work.

You are right .... it can't always be done. You also have to pay attention to meaning and to all the exceptions to the rules.

Here's a great poem ....

When the English tongue we speak
Why is break not rhymed with freak?
Will you tell me why it’s true
We say sew, but likewise few?
And the maker of a verse,
Cannot rhyme his horse with worse?
Beard is not the same as heard,
Cord is different from word,
Cow is cow, but low is low,
Shoe is never rhymed with foe.
Think of hose and dose and lose,
And think of goose and yet of choose,
Think of comb and tomb and bomb,
Doll and roll and home and some.
And since pay is rhymed with say,
Why not paid with said I pray?
Think of blood and food and good;
Mould is not pronounced like could.
Wherefore done, but gone and lone -
Is there any reason known?
To sum up all, it seems to me
Sounds and letters don’t agree.

And here's another one at this site.

Yes, but they went to public school, where the teachers don't care how they write or spell.

People also have a problem with punctuation. A sentence ends with a period and a question ends with a question mark.

I don't understand what your question is. The statements you are making are true.
