It occurs to me that Narcissism should be the origin of "arce".

If someone is selfish and vain do we call them a Narce after Narcissus?

Lol I like your thinking, and I like the idea that a Quest is a derivative of a Question, which would be a quest to find an answer, although an answer should then be an ion...

no, u call them narcissus after the person who is selfish and vain. narcissus is a name and that s what u call them if they only think about themselves.

you could call them a Narcissus, or you could say they were narcissistic. you could also call them self-absorbed or ego-centric
