I actually asked a teacher about this and also a professor who lectures on Shakespear so now you got this:

No matter how you intend to use the words, the true expression is definitley “as well." They are always two words, despite the fact that many people seem to think it should be spelled “aswell.”

Examples: “I don’t like plastic trees as well as real ones for Christmas.” “Now that we’ve opened our stockings, let’s open our other presents as well.”

"as well" is used to emphasise the following:

1. Besides

2. Too,

3. Also

4. Likewise

Ok, u heard it from the true source. Now she can't argue with you, as well as debating it till she's blue in the face.

Well I say it is aswell but it's not actually. It is as well although teachers of English language up to A-level allowed aswell but spell checks don't allow it. So now you can make an informed decision as to which is correct. I write as well now but here is the problem:

"As well", to me, means "as good as" so I think it makes sense to say "aswell" when you mean "also"

It's "as well". There is no such word as "aswell". Many people make the same mistake with "a lot", and spell it as "alot", which is not a word either.

Definitely it is as well. I've never seen anyone write it aswell. Maybe she is getting it confused with heretofore. :)

Two separate words.

"As well" with a space in between the words.
Ask her if she also things "a lot" is one word. If she does, she's an idiot and you shouldn't listen to her any longer.
