I am a member of the Council for Exceptional Children and I can get liability insurance for student teaching for $15 but I can't read the contract ahead of time so I don't know if it is reliable or not. It is through Forrest T. Jones. I know Ohio Education Association offers it, but it would cost more because I would have to join. Any advice? I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I'm looking for a quick quiz that I can do online with my kids next week. I'd like to save paper by using the internet rather than type up something.

Any resources would be wonderful!

Can a teacher hire an assistant to do the correction work and grading? I love teaching, but I just teach English overseas. Being a real teacher sounds like 10 hour days, lots of grading, and no fun at first. Is it really 50 hours a week for all of you? Any jobs that are part time, say 30 hours a week, but steady?

I teach high school students with behavioral and emotional disorders. I am around kids all day long teaching, advising, counseling, reprimanding, then I come on the forum at night and do the same. Am I crazy? Why do you come on the forum after teaching all day long? I prefer the human interaction rather than the passive gawking of the "boob tube." Besides, I keep learning about kids, society, and human nature.

I have taught in an urban middle school but this year I am being placed into an urban high school... any tips on how to get the class' attention and disipline ideas.... Also, how should I start my first day? Is it true that I should be really mean and then lighten up? I was told not to smile until Christmas... Thanks for the help!

My English teacher said here "teacher" should be in singular form, but I think "teacher" should be in plural form.
Could you please tell me which one is right or better?

What is your opinion - should the relationships between teachers and students be forbidden? I'm particularly thinking about a teacher working, for example, in a language school and teaching someone in his own age or about a student and a teacher at the university - when the age gap is not so big... I definitely exclude sick relationships between old folks and children!
Ok. Have u ever fallen in love with your teacher?;>
