Hi,

I need to improve my English listening and speaking skills.

Anyone who will teach me?

I'd like an American woman more than 20 years old, single or married, who has some free time, is responsible, and has good teaching skills and passion.

I don't care how old you are: you could be more than 50 or 60 years old, only if you are eligible for the above qualifications.

Contact me if you're interested.
Then, we can talk further.

Thank you.

I am a high school English teacher, and I was wondering what you do on the first day of school. I was planning on doing the general introduction, putting in alpha order, going over syllabus and rules, giving a literature pre assessment, and passing out textbooks. Can anyone think of anything else?

My earlier note was worded so poorly, I thought I would try to restate my concerns.
I have a friend whose 10 year old son is struggling with the basics in school - spelling, reading, math & keyboard skills.
I told her of my concerns & that she should be devoting more time to encourage his studies as opposed to letting him play computer games on go onY!A for hours at a time as he does now.
Unfortunatelly my inflammatory statements closed her mind to my concerns.
He is a sweet kid but he is struggling. I am concerned if he doesn't turn his schooling around soon he will be doomed to a gloomy life.
What do you education professionals believe? What can I do to see that her child needs her help?

It seems there is a big push to take God out of school and our court systems. Why do people who don't want to read and become informed about God always try to put him down.

I know my children are also doing well, I have a daughter on the Honor roll, I have a son who has graduated from high school with high marks but he still can not effectively read.
I would place him with roughly 8th grade reading skills.

I was capable of reading and writing in half the time.
How can a system fail so miserably?

I love working with small children. I do better with little babies and kids say in 3rd grade on up. I know for a fact that I cannot be a kindergarten or preschool teacher as I have seen the amount of work they must do, and they are like gods...lol. I am currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Education w/ a major in English. My question is, should I go ahead and finish up my ed. degree and then pursue a child care certificate just in case I decide to take that path? (as some have suggested since I am so far into my degree) Maybe someone who works in this field could clue me in to some of what it entails as far as the responsibilities required. Either way, I want to work with kids. =)

I am a 4th and 5th grade math teacher and I want to use a theme to decorate my classroom, everything from the door to the desk name tags to the bulletin boards. However I am drawing a blank on a theme. I don't want it to be just math. I want something fun and interesting so that when the students enter they feel like they are almost leaving the school and becoming immersed in another world. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

I have a degree in General Studies, and am looking to teach. I can't afford to do a student teaching internship unless I get paid. Any advice?

This is my third year teaching. I'm good at curriculum, activities, and assessment. But I struggle with being in charge, as that does not come to me naturally. I'm better with kids one-on-one, but teaching high school full time pays the bills better. I know I need to be more consistent with my rules and accept that there will be conflict. Thank you for any advice.

This question is not to say that it is acceptable to wear "club gear" to teach but more if you think teachers should wear "professional clothing" (i.e., males wear ties, females wear skirts and dress pants). Does a teacher's dress affect student learning? Basically, if a teacher wears jeans and sneakers, is that sending a poor message?
