Also, is there a difference between the 2005 and the 2007 guide. My sister is 2 years older than me and bought books for the 2005 tests. Its also the new SAT in 2005, so I was wondering if its worth buying the 2007 guide.

I am trying to get into medical school, however, the mcat is holding me back. I took the test 2 times and scored about the same. The first time I studied with a prep course, the second time I had a private tutor and studied by myself. I spoke with the dean of admissions at the school I want to go to and he said I should take the test again, since everything else on my application is strong. He said there must be a problem with my technique since I scored the same thing on my ACT. I did take many practice exams (over 30) and looked them over with great detail after, but for some reason I am having a hard time with it. I tried many different techniques. Do you know of any ways to increase performance with standardized tests in general? Why is it that some people can do well with minimal studying while some people like me work their butts off with no success? Thank you in advance for your answers.

i'm thinking if you leave one blank, you lose about 30 points or so (out of 2400), and if you get it wrong, perhaps it's about 50 out of 2400 points off?

just trying to estimate my SAT score ahead of time is all... math whizzes or people who just know... help?

I think I skipped about 3 math, 5 english questions....

and got 2-6 wrong.

I have just been browsing the internet and came across articles about GCSEs. Why are they all saying they're easy and standards are falling. These people have not taken them or wasted every weekend for the past two years on perpetual coursework despite according to my school i should be revising now but i cant. coursework is not finished. Then these people that like to critise took probably 10 subjects. i am taking 13. So no way is the o level harder by any means. i am right arent i.

I took some test online just for one and recieved an IQ of 124? Now im a early graduate from HS And about to finish my first year in college at the age of 17 and have a 3.3 as of right now. My question is is 124 a bad score for my age?

I just did. And evidentally my IQ is 100. (I'm 13 years old).
YAY! I think that's good. Is it? What is it out of? Like, 100 out of... what?
I feel smart. I mean, it's 3-digits! 3! Not 1... not 2... but 3!!!!

How do you pick out the main point in a paragraph? I have a test that I have to pass and I have a really hard time picking out the main point in a paragraph? Does anyone know how to figure it out or have a website that I can go to that will help me? Thanks alot.

I have been looking for a California penal code that forbades teachers from forcing students to come in to there class during break time ex. lunch/brunch, and do work. I know there is a penal code that states that breaks are student's personal time and should not be violated. If you could find the penal code that states this please respond. My teacher forces us to come every Friday brunch and do work in her class. Please note that this in not homework! We get about 3 hours of homework every night from her anyways. The students who fail to show up, loose a big percentage of their grade. I know that there is a law that states that students have a right to 2 breaks, 15 minutes or brunch and some time for lunch. If you could find the penal code I would be very greatful, or if you could find a list of students rght. Thanks a lot for your help!

I live in a city that has horrible public schools, but luckily we also have school choice. Because of this, I am able to send my kids to school in another district, as long as I am willing to provide their transportation, and it does not cost any more than if they stayed in district. I personally LOVE it!!

The worst schools in our city are closing 1 by 1 because of low attendance, and the ones that are left are getting the idea that they need to get their acts together or follow suit. Some people are complaining that they no longer have a school in their neighborhood. My thinking is, who cares where the school is if your kids aren't learning anything?

I also have a theory that we are just in a stage where we are making an example of the bad schools, and eventually, we will swing back in the other direction. I believe that as the good schools in our district start to get overcrowded, we will have to open more schools again, but this time they will be of a much higher quality.

I'm a junior in highschool, and will be taking the SAT for the 1st time somewhere soon before my senior year. I have been preparing a bit for the SAT, by taking the PSAT and occasionally using a Kaplan SAT computer program. However it would be great if I could be given more ideas to help me out... maybe things more practical, like easy on-the-go things which could be done daily.
