YAY! I think that's good. Is it? What is it out of? Like, 100 out of... what?
I feel smart. I mean, it's 3-digits! 3! Not 1... not 2... but 3!!!!
That is sooo cool! It said that my intellectual thing is a WORD WARRIOR.

Incase you wanna or need to know what site I took my IQ test on it's, like: tickle.com or something.

If you have ever taken one, what were your results?
And what is the IQ number out of?
And is an IQ of 100, good?

I Have taken many IQ tests the lowest score i got was 160+ and the highest was 284. Tickles is Inaccurate and has a maximum score (though I can't remember what it is). An IQ of 100 is dead on average (no matter your age). IQ means nothing it is a test, if your good at it yipee, if not who cares. The Highest IQ on record (not estimated also not publicized) is 400+ scored by a prodigy. IQ is a number, supposedly equal to 100 times your ratio of intelligence in comparison to children of the same age. This means that (according to tickles) you are as smart as the average child your age).

By definition, the average IQ score is 100 points. Hence, your score is the average score for your age, meaning that 50% of your peers get 100 when they take the test. That's a nice score - you're following the average mental development path for a 13-year old girl - but it's not an exceptional score, though. I think that the maximum score you can get on the test you took (at tickle.com) is somewhere around 160. When I took it, I think I got 144 - visual mathematician.

As for the way IQ scores are calculated, there are two ways. Initially, psychologists used the formula IQ = MA/CA x 100, where MA is your mental age and CA is your actual (chronological) age. In your case, a score of 100 would mean that your mental and chronological age are the same. If you are, say, 13 years old and have a mental age of 15, you would get a an IQ score of 115.

Today, however, scores are calculated using statistical methods that compare your score to the score of your peers. Here is a general reference for interpreting IQ scores:

140+ Extraordinary intelligence
130-140 Very superior intelligence
120-130 Superior intelligence
110-120 High average intelligence
90-110 Average intelligence

An IQ of 100 is average for any given population.

As for myself - yes, I've taken quite a few IQ tests; when I was 7 I scored about 121; by the time I was 16 I scored about 130; and now, in my 50s, I generally score between 140 and 150.

I got 145 last time i took it(im 19) but IQ is not out of a 100... i believe MENSA requires their members to have an IQ of 145 and higher.. 2% smartest population would get such a score. To actually get the real IQ test, you must go to the MENSA website. Those other IQ are mostly a farse.
